Day 1; Arrive San Jose. Â Airport welcomes OsaTravel Staff representative and transfer to the hotel Rodeo.

Day 2; Morning ground transfer to the domestic airport for a scenic flight ride to Puerto Jimenez on the remote Osa Peninsula, last frontier. The most biological intense place in the earth, Upon arrival transfer by ground to Carate beach one main gateway to the famous of Corcovado National Park to the Luna Lodge Rainforest Eco Lodge for overnight. Depend of the time to arrive at the Lodge; we can take short hike surrounding of the Lodge. Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Day 3; Early guided hike in the rainforest Corcovado National Park; Birdwatching begins immediately with views of hummingbirds, tanagers, motmots, toucans’ & macaws common from the Luna Lodge.  Night walk tonight, for nocturnal birds.  Optional; on the end of the day, relax on the beaches of the Pacific Ocean. Breakfast, Lunch, dinner. Overnight: Luna Lodge Rain Forest. Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 4; Early birder’s coffee then set off for a morning bird walk, Watch for manakins, trogons, hawks, cotinga, and other forest species. Return for a hearty breakfast in mid morning.  Relax, lunch, and then prepare for a late afternoon forest or waterfall, carate river hike. Overnight: Luna Lodge Rainforest. Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Days 5-6; After breakfast Luna Lodge,  we will head to  Pto Jimenez by  car, for our ride boat to Golfito half hour, we will take our car/van  in Golfito to Las Cruces Biological Station & Wilson Botanical Garden in Sanvito,  where we will spend two nights, we will be  around lunch time. Las Cruces is centered in the southern Talamanca mountain range, near the Panamanian border. We can find over 400 species of birds at the station, around 80 of which are latitudinal migrant birds from North and South America. Fifteen species are found just on Costa Rica’s South Pacific, like the Fiery Billed Aracari, Marbled Wood-Quail, Costa Rican Swift, Red-crowned Woodpecker, Bran-colored Flycatcher, Spotted-crowned Euphonia and Turquoise Cotinga, among others. There are also a few endemic species from the Coto Brus area including the Ruddy Foliage-gleaner, Lance-tailed Manakin, and Masked Yellowthroat. We also have species that have increased their distribution range in the last 4 years from Panamá, like the Crested Oropendola and the Mouse-Colored Tyrannulet.
We would also explore one of the premier botanical gardens in the American tropics.
The Station serves as the principal center in the region for teaching, research, and on-site environmental education, as well as visitors who have a unique opportunity to experience tropical nature and learn about it in a place where scientists and students from around the world come to research and study. Overnight: two nights Las Cruces Biological Station & Wilson Botanical Garden in Sanvito, Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Day 7; After our last trip birding in the station, we will start our trip to the Cloud Forest, spent the night Dantica Lodge, and is also prime habitat of the Resplendent Quetzal. Dantica Lodge is located in San Gerardo de Dota, a small community in the Talamanca mountains in the midst of a precious ecosystem. You may see quetzals in the evening. Overnight. Â Dantica Lodge. Dinner.
DinnerDay 8; Early morning guided hike to find the quetzals that give this place its name. Mid-day we return to San José, Costa Rica’s capital located in the Central Valley.  Overnight. Hotel  el Rodeo  Breafast & Lunch. Afternoon free time in San Jose.  Enjoy some free time to explore San José on your own or with your tour guide. The Central Valley offers a variety of, cultural and natural attractions, including Costa Rica’s best museums: the Gold, Jade, National, Costa Rican Art, La Salle Natural Science, University of Costa Rica Insect and Children’s Contemporary Art and Design Museums. In addition, this region is home to the architectural jewel of Costa Rica: the National Theater.
Day 9; Our driver will pick you up at your Hotel for your transfer to the Airport, for your flight home. Report to airport three hours before departure time. Â End our services.
